Find and write down five facts about the Vikings - you might look at their religion, daily life, or artwork (Hint: where do several of the names we use for our days come from). Post these to your blog.
1) The vikings believed in two groups of Gods - the Aesir and the Vanir.
2) On average, Vikings would live to around their forties.
3) The vikings wanted to die in battle in order to make it to Valhalla - the Norse afterlife for brave fallen warriors.
4) Vikings came from the Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Norway and Denmark). Later they settled in Great Britain, Ireland, France and Russia.
5) Viking houses in England were made of wattle (wooden sticks)
and there were two meals a day - day meal and night meal.
